Twenty-nine years ago. I was a young Azorean immigrant to this country with just one dollar in my blue polyester suit. I waited in the airport for my fiancée, who has faithfully been my wife for twenty nine years, to pick me up. As I looked around at the different faces, signs and buildings I realize I was in America where dreams are not only imagined but become a reality. My ambitions were great, and my youthful body and mind were ready to work. I helped manage my father-in-law's businesses through out California. When he retired my wife and I took over the business and began a new chapter in our lives, and continued to live the American dream. Though I enjoyed working at the gift shop, I decided I needed a change in my life where I could continue to grow as a person and expand my skills. I reevaluated my goals and decided that this new change would be a career in real estate. My American dream was continuing to unfold as my career path changed in the middle of my life, and I wanted to share this dream of mine with others and help others achieved their dreams. What is more American than owning one's own home? To make the other people's dreams a reality is fulfilling, but it also takes a great amount of hard work and dedication. However, there are many hard working realtors competing for your business. What makes me different from other realtors? My goal as a realtor is to help the client find the perfect home. With the economy improving and more homes entering the market, it can be different to find the right home. My job is to create a fun and easy experience for my clients to find the desired home. By listening to my client's needs my rate of successfully finding the right home is higher. It is always exciting to know that I helped another person find a home and aid them through the process. As I continue my life my dreams are being fulfilled, and I know the feeling of achieving those dreams. As a result, it brings me great pleasure to serve my clients' needs and wishes so their American dream of owning a home can become an American reality. |
